Azomethine ylide cycloadditions
Azomethine ylide cycloadditions are a powerful group of reactions that have found a multitude of uses throughout the chemical sciences. This is due to the fact that a wide range of important nitrogen-containing heterocycles can be easily prepared using robust chemistry that is tolerant of other functional groups. By utilizing azomethine ylide cycloadditions we are able to install one or more points of chemical diversity in a single step, thus rapidly forming libraries of novel, complex, sp3-rich, polycyclic scaffolds.
